About the event
It is our pleasure to bring Thomas Philbrick back for another riveting recital. Joined by two friends, John Donkersloot on piano and Lynnaea Haggard on cello, they will perform a formal classical recital with works of profound beauty, drama, and human expression. From the joyful energy of Beethoven to the searching intensity of Shostakovich, the program invites us to attend to what is beautiful, excellent, noble, and worthy of praise.
As Philippians 4:8 reminds us, we are called to dwell on “whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable” and in doing so, to lift our eyes beyond ourselves toward the One who is the source of all truth, beauty, and goodness.
