Charter Trip to Grand Rapids | Palestrina 500: Schola Cantorum of The London Oratory School

Join us on Wednesday, July 16th, for a Tov Arts charter trip to Grand Rapids to experience Palestrina 500 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Parish. This extraordinary Mass will feature the timeless music of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, performed by the world-renowned Schola Cantorum of The London Oratory School—a celebrated choir of Catholic boys ages 7 to 18. Their voices will bring Palestrina’s compositions to life in their most authentic form, creating a profound and unforgettable experience.

Before the Mass, we will attend a special “Holy Hour” starting at 5:30 PM. During this hour, the London Oratory will sing one hour of sacred music from various composers, providing a time for the congregation to meditate and pray. Following the Holy Hour, the Oratory School will perform Palestrina’s Mass setting during the Mass itself.
